Category Manager

In this newly created role, you will take charge of managing assigned Food Service categories, i.e., Deli, Cheese or Bakery, with the goal of meeting or exceeding projected budgets for top line sales, total profit dollars, and shrink and inventory management. As Category Manager, you will serve as the direct liaison between stores and vendors, in addition to supporting the department managers with training/development, and implementation of new company programs and initiatives. To qualify, you should come from the natural grocery industry, and bring product assortment experience to the table. You must have developed weekly advertisements and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of shelf schematics. A highly developed analytical expertise and an affinity for providing support “behind the scenes” are crucial. Experience as a Buyer would be ideal for this position. Travel to various store openings is required. You must be willing to relocate, as the location into which you are initially hired could change.
