Currently, they seek a Technical Service Engineer with refinery or catalyst environment expertise for their Clear Lake City, Texas, location.

As Technical Service Engineer, you will provide technical support to customers in order to meet marketing and business objectives, including reports, troubleshooting, start-up assistance and other customer-support issues. In carrying out your responsibilities, you will work with sales, development, R&D, logistics, quality assurance, and manufacturing on a daily basis. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or a PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. Our client seeks a minimum of 4 years of solid technical experience in refinery/catalyst, laboratory research or EPC. Experience with hydroprocessing is a must. Importantly, you should be adept at building strong relationships based on trust, and possess outstanding interpersonal and communications skills. You must be comfortable working both as a team, and independently, and be willing to travel 30% of the time.
