【Development Unit】Software Engineer (Rakuten Membership Service)

Job Description

Position Summary:
We develop and operate the Rakuten Membership System, reaching more than 80 million users.

You will design, develop and operate our large scale systems with a mindset for excellent service quality.

Rakuten Membership System is a core foundation for all Rakuten services, so will enjoy the challenge of working on a such an important component, gaining a lot of knowledge on how Rakuten works.

You will work on authentication systems, user profile management and the globalization of our ecosystem, working together with peers across the world.

Responsibilities:
・ Membership related system's design, development, testing and release operation.
・ Scalable architecture.
・ Design and operate highly available services
・ Coach young engineers.

Desired Skills and Expertise

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience Web system programming and operating in Java over 3 years.
- Write and review code considering security.
- Server/DB（Oracle/MySQL)/OS（Linux)/Network operation and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with KVS systems
- Agile Development Experience
- Experience with PHP,Smart Phone UI/App
- Have knowledge of Weblogic and Tomcat

Language Level:
English: Business level
Japanese: Business level
Have TOEIC score over 800
