Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
Aided by the use of routing software, this position is responsible for the timely delivery of paint and related products in support of our Paint Stores Group. Primary responsibilities include: assigning deliveries to drivers so they can be completed in a timely manner; communicating professionally and effectively with delivery drivers, store management and the dispatch team; provide oversight of the entire delivery process. This position will utilize Computer Aided Dispatching software which allows for GPS tracking of drivers in the field. Dispatchers are responsible for 500-600 deliveries per day and will work as an integral part of a team. This position will be responsible for all districts across the United States and will fill-in where needed to assist the team in daily activities.
Experience Required:
For the Central Dispatcher role, previous customer contact experience is required. Candidate should have demonstrated ability to provide customer satisfaction through effective communication with every interaction via telephone, email, chat and/or text. The Central Dispatcher candidate must possess an average range of systems and business knowledge along with proven PC skills, above average organization, professional communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be confident with geography and giving direction as they will be overseeing cities outside of the Cleveland area. A high aptitude for learning new computer based applications is a must. Previous dispatching and routing experience is a plus.
Education Required:
High School diploma required.
College degree strongly preferred.
Additional Comments:
The scheduled shift for this position is 12:30pm-9pm.
