Seeking a Fixed Equipment Engineer – CPFEE
Our Client Company is a leading refiner and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. They are currently seeking a Fixed Equipment Engineer in Lake Charles, LA. The salary is 95K - 105K dollars, depending on experience. Relocation assistance is available.
The Fixed Equipment Engineer provides technical expertise and recommendations for fixed equipment/mechanical integrity, repairs, and reliability improvements. He or she provides daily technical support to maintenance and operations, as well as engineering support for the review and approval of piping and equipment drawings. Utilizing ASME and API codes and standards, he or she assesses fixed equipment calculations. The Fixed Equipment Engineer performs piping system or vessel-stress analysis, and works with maintenance and inspection to review fixed-equipment inspection data, and assists with the development of repair recommendations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a GPA of 3.0 or above for newly graduated applicants
Three to seven years of fixed equipment experience (preferred)
Two to seven years in a refinery or chemical plant*
Knowledge of industrial standards related to piping, valves, and pressure vessels (ASME, API)
Familiarity with Sections VIII and IX of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and API Inspection Codes (preferred)**
Valid driver's license
