Your Tasks and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role, as HR Business Partner, is to provides a central point of contact for all human resource matters at the Kansas City manufacturing site, as well as other assigned locations within BCS.

The incumbent will:
• Act as a strategic partner to site management on HR issues on projects and other matters that affect the workforce, including expansions, re-engineering, downsizing, and other organizational changes;
• Partner and collaborate with all levels of management and site leadership to develop HR strategies that support business needs, identify and close gaps where they exist, and develop HR processes to support business initiatives;
• Lead the implementation of HR programs and initiatives in training and development, compensation, succession planning, change management, performance management, benefits and equal employment opportunity; ensure consistency in interpretation and application of policies;
• Act as the primary point of contact for all site-level employee relations issues. Lead and/or manage investigations and process complaints and charges related to compliance and performance. Make recommendations to management and implement solutions to correct problems or remedy deficiencies;
• Partner with client groups to utilize the performance management process and to support the high-performance culture. Provide feedback to management through evaluations, analysis, training and coaching;
• Counsel employees and managers on career development and talent management, prepare for Personnel and Organization Conferences (POCs) and partner with managers to ensure robust talent management practices;
• Play an active role in leading change and in the planning for and development of the appropriate organizational alignment and structures, support systems, etc. to enhance the site’s movement to high performance.
Who You Are
The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR management or a related discipline is required;
• An M.B.A. or Master’s degree in human resources or industrial relations is a plus;
• SPHR or PHR certification is also a plus;
• Five to Seven years of progressively responsible HR experience in a manufacturing environment are required;
• One to three years of experience as a subject matter expert in at least one functional area of human resources is preferred;
• An understanding of union avoidance techniques and positive employee relations practices is essential;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook), knowledge of SAP, and the ability to learn and use Bayer’s internal HRIS systems are also required.
