Customer Refund Processor
The Customer Refund Processor is responsible for verifying the original purchase for approximately 1,500 suspended customer refunds per month. The processor works with the stores and other departments, including internal Audit and Customer Care, to correct customer refunds. The Customer Refund Processor uses internal reporting and several internal systems to research and resolve the suspended refunds. This position is responsible for coordinating the corrected refund payment between Accounts Payable and Treasury. This position is held accountable for resolving the refund problems in a timely manner. The Customer Refund Processor will make general ledger journal entries to rectify any out of balances created by the correction process. This position will be well-versed with the company's return policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic Accounting knowledge
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to multi task in a very fast paced environment
An understanding of the POS System is needed to assist the stores when making corrections
Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job
