Responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis. This position will respond to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions and execute plant shutdown and start-up procedures, and assume that the plant meets its generating requirements wile operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.
Position Requirements
3rd Class State of Maine Steam Engineer’s License. Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, coupled with basic computer, blueprint, P&ID, schematic specifications and vendor requirement reading experience. Strong leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and problem solving/decision making skills are a must. The ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods of time, work in close quarters and confined spaces, climb ladders and structures, tolerate heights, and tolerate high temperatures is key.
