Sourcing Manager, IT - Roles and Responsibilities

The person filling this role will be expected to manage the procurement needs for their assigned commodity group . This role will be the dedicated single point of contact for all sourcing transactions and procurement needs and will have overall accountability for Enterprise Supplier Management’ support of this category. This role is responsible for ensuring that Enterprise Supplier Management’ policies are adhered to and for ensuring that appropriate documentation exists for all of their transactions.

This individual is expected to develop sourcing strategies, supplier communications, request for proposals (and related due diligence), cost analytics, category strategies, supply market analysis, deal strategy, pricing strategy, deal negotiations (contract terms and conditions, scopes of work, pricing, service levels, etc.), contract development, and contract administration. They are also expected to act as a central point of contact for a transaction and is responsible for engaging all the internal parties relevant to a given supplier transaction.

This individual will have senior customers throughout the organization, so excellent influencing and communication skills are a must. They will also have a team of associates reporting to them and will be accountable for effectively managing, mentoring and developing a team of world-class Sourcing and Contracting associates. At Capital One, Sourcing Managers are expected to work in a collaborative environment with internal customers internal as well with other groups within company.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business or military experience
- 5 years experience in sourcing, RFP development, supplier negotiations.
- 5 years experience in contract review and negotiation management
- 1 year experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in business administration, finance or supply chain
- CPM designation
-10 years experience in sourcing, RFP development, supplier negotiations.
- 10 years experience in contract review and negotiation management
